Transport on land We have made a trailer that can be towed by cars that can have at least 1500 kg on the hook of the car. The trailer is dividable so it is easy for one person to launch the ship into the sea or pull it out of the water. |

Sailing It takes tree persons 15 minutes to raise the mast and clear the sail for sailing. We use between 400 and 800 kg of ballast usually behind the mast. Five experienced sailors are sufficient to sail with square sail. |

Rowing With ten rowers where everybody has the same rhythm, the ship does 5 km/hour. It is important to have clever rowers at the rear seat, because they "inspire" the rest of the crew and they keep the rhythm. |

Using the motor The ship has an outboard motor mounted in a well inside the boat. We use eight horsepower motor. It is a bit difficult to manoeuvre in slow speed, because the steering board needs "steering" speed to function. On the left you can see wooden piece, which we use to "lock" the hole when we are rowing or saling |
Shields and dragon head The ship has ten shields and a removable dragonhead. In the sagas it is mentioned that the dragonhead was taken off when the ship reached shores, to not disturb the spirit in the ground. |
Safety There should always be personal flotation device for each person onboard. Depends on area we operate, we use fire extinguisher, VHF, and light in addition. |
